Free Covid-19 Vaccination Camp by Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya Trust

Covid-19 Vaccine has become a must for all. Covid-19 Vaccination is indispensable to return to our normal way of life is not a far fetched statement. More than 100 years back when the deadly Spanish Flu gripped India. Just as now almost every household was lamenting and confusion reigned everywhere. Rai Bahadur Late Bissessurlalji Halwasiya and his Brother Late Babu Motilalji Halwasiya came forward to help support the fight against the epidemic (you can read more about it here). Drawing inspiration from the commitment to fight a pandemic of Late Rai Bahadur Bissessurlalji Halwasiya and his Brother Late Babu Motilalji Halwasiya, Sri Bijay Shankarji Halwasiya, who represents Rai Bahadur Bissessurlalji Halwasiya on the board of the Trust, put forth an idea to the Board of Trustees to organize a Free Covid-19 Vaccination Camp where Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya will pay the cost of Vaccine including the service charge and Vaccinate the needy free of cost. The board wholeheartedly approved the same.

Keeping in line with our commitment to celebrate Human life, on June7th, 2021 a Free Vaccination Drive was conducted by Rai Bahadur Bissessurlal Motilal Halwasiya at 36/F, Topsia Road, Kolkata 700 036. The entire responsibility of organizing and managing the was handled by Ambarish Halwasiya. The campaigning for the drive began on May 29, 2021 and a total of 200 people were vaccinated free of cost

Sri Bijay Shankarji Halwasiya, were present personally on the venue to lend support and guidance to the team of volunteers and keep an overview of the entire event. Without their invaluable advice and guidance it would have been difficult to conduct the camp so successfully

It is difficult to conduct any event without help on the ground itself. We will like to extend our heartiest thanks to Miss Asmita Halwasiya, Mr. Eklavya Lihala,, and Mr Avinash Sureka who lent their valuable time and support to make the Free Covid-19 Vaccination Drive a grand success. They came forward selflessly to help conduct the event and only because of their help the event was managed so smoothly

Supports during Spanish Flu, 1918

In 1918, just as now, India was gripped in the clutches of deadly Spanish Flu. Nearly every household was lamenting a death, and everywhere terror and confusion reigned. Ordinary Humans Stuck in extra ordinary circumstances had no one to turn to except other Ordinary Humans for what little hope they could muster.

The Hospitals were choked so that it was impossible to remove the dead quickly enough to make room for the dying. the streets and lane were littered with the dead and the dying. the Burning Ghats and the Burial Grounds were literally swamped with corpses

Dispatches of report on progress of disease from India

The outbreak, progress and aftermath of a disease for which no one was prepared. What made the matter worst was all the government system had failed there was no way to properly send of the dearly departed with proper rights. The general mood was defeatist. Every Household was Lamenting and terror and confusion reigned. what hope had a country like India? Without a marked improvement in living conditions, it was clear that India would remain vulnerable to future outbreaks of the disease.

If It wasn’t for few heroic community leaders including Rai Bahadur Late Bissessurlal Ji Halwasiya who stepped forward to help to give practical and financial help. the commissioners and deputy Commissioners of different provinces recognized their contribution.
